The MIAAA Position Statement Process coordinates the organization’s collective voice for change and establishes public positions as approved by the Board of Directors and, ultimately, the full membership.

 

1. The committee will solicit properly formatted position statements from MIAAA members through Region Representatives, League/Conference Presidents, or MHSAA staff. Committee-generated position statements must also be submitted prior to MHSAA Sport Committee Meetings. <-- See Link for 26-27 Dates

2. Position statements generated by MHSAA staff and recommended through MHSAA Sport Committees will be presented at the January Board of Directors meeting for information only. These statements will then be forwarded to the MIAAA Annual Business Meeting for consideration by the full membership.

3. Position statements submitted by Regions or Leagues/Conferences will not be presented at the January Board of Directors meeting unless they were included on the agenda of the respective MHSAA Sport Committee Meeting.

4. The committee will prepare a final draft of all position statements, compile them into a Google Form for membership voting, and present each statement at the Annual Business Meeting.
