MIAAA Purpose Statement  
The purpose of the association shall be to encourage educational agencies to respect the concept that interscholastic athletics is an integral part of the total educational program; to advance the standard of teaching and leadership in the program of interscholastic athletics; cooperate with the Michigan High School Athletic Association in structuring and implementing projects designed to advance the interscholastic programs of the State; cooperate with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association in structuring and implementing projects designed to advance the interscholastic programs of the State; improve the programs of interscholastic athletics in the area of membership representation; advance professional leadership and competence by mutual problem solving; and give support, leadership and service to state and national educational organizations.
